BRUNO Bruno Deneckere was ooit het brein van rockbelofte Pink Flowers. Met zijn solodebuut "Beyond The Pink Flowers" trekt hij een streep onder zijn verleden.Bruno started his musical journey as leader of the Pink Flowers in 1986. This resulted in the release of 3 cd's April showers(1990), Tune in(1992), Blind man's son(1995) and 2 singles: Nefetari/All I want is you en Blind man's son/Mary Magdalene. In 1997 he started with Bruno &The Blue Period, a one year project. The single Dangle/Lazy on the easy chair(1996) was one of the outcomes. In 1998 he went solo and released Beyond the Pink Flowers. He got help from HT Roberts, Nils Decaster, Derek en Vis. This was also the case with the release of the second solo cd Down the road. Other musicians on this record were drummer Cesar Janssens and bassplayer Vincent Pierins. Bruno has regular gigs with Roland and Wigbert invited him to bring an ode to Ferre Grignard, "Yellow me, yellow you" (2001-2002). He opened for Fisher Z, Sheryl Crow, Peter Frampton, The Jayhawks,KT Tunstall,Fred Eaglesmith,..., worked on a tribute to Nick Drake and he was a member of the collective Het Gespuis (cd "Het Huis van het Gespuis",2003). He played and sang on cd's by Derek, Lieven Tavernier, HT Roberts. Crescent of the moon his third solo cd, recorded with his new band The Herods, appeared in the fall of 2004.
